Happy Friday, friends! St. Patrick's Day is just one week away and I'm over here making all sorts of goodies to celebrate. Even though I'm Irish I don't go too crazy, but I do love me some Soda Bread and anything that's flavored with Irish Cream. And then of course there's corned beef and cabbage. I'm all in for the beef but not overly excited about the cabbage. Call me crazy, I know.

St. Patrick's Day is a great time to celebrate the Irish in all of us, even if there isn't any! There are a lot more ways to celebrate than drinking green beer, so Jan from The Tip Garden and Carlee from Cooking with Carlee got some bloggers together to share our best St. Patrick's Day inspired recipes. My contribution to this shindig are these amazing Chocolate Stout Floats. Now I'm not much of a beer drinker, but anything mixed with chocolate sauce and poured over vanilla ice cream has got to be good, am I right? Of course I am! I slurped my float down in less than 5 minutes (but who's counting?!) so you know it must have been good. Be sure to scroll down to the end of this post to get more delicious Irish inspired recipes!

Chocolate Stout Floats

Ingredients:
1 cup stout beer
1/4 cup chocolate sauce, plus more for topping
4 scoops vanilla ice cream

In a glass measuring cup, gently whisk together the beer and chocolate sauce until combined. 

Add two scoops of ice cream to each of two sundae glasses. Slowly pour half of the chocolate beer mixture over the ice cream in each of the glasses. Drizzle with additional chocolate sauce, if desired. Grab your spoons and straws and enjoy.
