Summer is in full swing here. It's been in the high 80's/low 90's for over a week, which is really warm for Michigan in June. I've been soaking up all the sun I can and loving how late it stays light out. That's a food bloggers dream to have so many hours of daylight, but I also love it because it means more time for the kids and I to spend outdoors. We've been spending a lot of time out on the deck and I've been grilling a lot of our meals lately. This Grilled Peach BBQ Chicken is made with a simple homemade peach barbecue sauce that's so flavorful and delicious. I'm also using ingredients in this recipe that supports one of my favorite campaigns, so please read on to learn more!
If you've been reading my blog for some time then you already know that I'm a partner and huge supporter of Produce for Kids. I also love Meijer and shop there every week. As they have in the past, Produce for Kids teamed up with Meijer to bring Jump with Jill, a rock & roll nutrition show, to local schools. To date, the partnership has funded the show at 100 schools within the Meijer footprint since 2014. Click here for upcoming Jump with Jill tour dates.

From June 4 to July 1, shoppers can look for Produce for Kids healthy meal solutions, recipes and tips in the produce department of all Meijer stores. Supporting the brands featured in the recipes helps raise funds to support the Jump with Jill initiative. I have a listing of those brands at the bottom of this post! Shipt shoppers can get in on the action too. Look for the Produce for Kids tab to help support the campaign and raise funds for Jump with Jill. Not a Shipt member? Head over to the Sweepstakes tab to enter to win a year-long membership or sign up for a free 2 week trial and get $25 off your first order when you purchase an annual membership.

I purchase many products from the brands sponsoring this campaign on a regular basis and I love the versatility of Dole Salad Kits. I paired the Chopped BBQ Ranch Salad Kit with my grilled chicken and it was a huge hit with my family. I placed the chicken on top of the salad and sprinkled the crispy cheddar tortilla chips over the top of everything. So delish!

You need just a few ingredients to make the homemade peach BBQ sauce which comes together quickly. You can make it ahead of time and keep it in the frig so it's ready to go when you need it. You'll have enough for a couple of meals, too. The best part of this meal is how fast you can get on the table, and don't we all love quick meals?

Ingredients:
1 cup peeled and chopped fresh HMC Farms peaches (about 3)
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon adobo seasoning
Salt and black pepper
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 Dole Chopped BBQ Ranch Salad Kit

Combine the peaches, ketchup, lemon juice, and adobo seasoning in a small saucepan. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the peaches are soft and the flavors meld together, about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let cool for a few minutes. Pour the mixture into a blender and puree until smooth. Set aside one cup of the sauce to glaze the chicken.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken until almost cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Brush all sides of the chicken with the cup of sauce and grill until glazed and cooked through, another 2 minutes per side. Serve the chicken on top of the salad with the barbecue sauce on the side.
