Back to School with HP Printers | The Chef Next Door

I know this isn't my typical post. And I know it must feel weird that there is no food or recipe involved here. It feels strange to me, too! But the truth is, whether we want to admit it or not, school is just around the corner. Only two weeks away for my youngest son! (He will not like hearing that) As our thoughts start to turn to back to school books, supplies and clothes, we also need to be prepared at home. When I say prepared I mean extra supplies at the ready, a quiet place for the kids to do homework and study, and, of course, a reliable printer for all of our school and household needs.
I recently picked up the HP Deskjet 3636, an affordable All-in-One Printer that comes in three beautiful colors - Vibrant Red, Dragonfly Blue, and Sporty Purple. Since both of my boys' school colors include blue, I decided to go with the Dragonfly Blue printer. I mean, who doesn't love a pretty printer?!

With the HP Deskjet 3636 you can easily print anything you need from a variety of computers, smartphones and tablets. Get connected quickly and start printing fast with easy setup from your smartphone or tablet. I love the idea that if my son has been working on a paper or project on his tablet at school, he can come home and print it with no trouble. This machine isn't anything like my old printer. The capabilities and functionality are amazing!

Setting up the printer was quick and easy. Although it came with an installation disk, I didn't even need it! If you have a wireless connection at home or in your dorm, you can do all the installation online. I was ready to start printing about 15 minutes after setting everything up. You receive one black and one color cartridge in the box so there is no need for extra purchases to start off. And the best part? This amazing printer is super affordable at only $49.99 at your local Walmart!

If you sign up for a free HP Connected account, you'll not only have access to managing your printer and ink, but also to hundreds of printables like calendars, forms, coloring pages, and so much more. I love that they have Notebook Paper and Graph Paper printables, which means if the kids run out of something you have quick access to getting more without leaving the house!

I'm planning to use the Weekly Calendars to keep track of our crazy family schedule, from sports practices to games, appointments, and days off from school. It's perfect to keep on the frig so everyone in the family knows what's going on! HP Connected also has a Mobile Printing option, which is something I've never seen before. Now my kids can print from their smartphones and tablets, making it easier than ever to take care of school assignments!

I found the HP Deskjet 3636 at my local Walmart in the Electronics section with the computers and other printers.
