My favorite french toast!

My favorite french toast!

I love home cooked breakfasts. Especially on the weekends when I have time to make something really special. Most weekends I make my boys pancakes or waffles, and sometimes I really splurge and we have french toast. I LOVE french toast, and so do my boys. I've perfected a very simple, but yummy, french toast recipe and I'm going to share it with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients:

4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 slices of your favorite bread (I use thick slices of french bread)
Butter

Directions:

1.
In a shallow bowl, beat together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides.
2. In a very large skillet or on a griddle, melt butter over medium heat. Add half of the bread slices and cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden, turning once. Repeat with remaining bread slices and the remaining butter.
