Get True Tea Taste in every sip of the refreshing and delicious Snapple® Straight Up™ Teas! And when you're done you can use the bottle to get crafty and make a beautiful Spring vase!
Having family down south, Louisiana to be exact, I grew up loving tea. My mom was raised down there and moved to Michigan when she and my dad got married, but she brought with her several of her Southern traditions and favorite recipes. Like hush puppies and fried okra. Fried catfish and shrimp gumbo. And especially, sweet tea. There is nothing more refreshing than a cold glass of freshly brewed sweet tea. When I was young my mom always made sun tea and oh how I miss it!

Obviously being in Michigan it's a bit difficult to make sun tea all year round since it tends to be pretty cold and gloomy here during the winter. Lucky for me I recently discovered Snapple® Straight Up™ Teas, which have True Tea Taste in every sip! Whenever I'm looking for a beverage to help me relax, these teas do the trick. Whether I'm working or running errands or just taking time for me, Straight Up™ Teas are just what I need.

Straight Up™ Tea is in a convenient plastic bottle and is currently only $1 a bottle at Walmart! With varying degrees of sweetness -  Sorta Sweet, Sweet, and Unsweetened- you’re bound to find one that hits the spot.  They also have two new Sorta Sweet varieties: Honey Green Tea and Rooibos. I can tell you firsthand that they are both delicious!
So because it's spring and I wanted to get my craft on, I turned my Straight Up™ Tea bottles into little vases! A little acrylic paint and some fresh flowers is all you need to brighten someone's day. Want to see how I did it?
First, peel off the label and cut the plastic ring at the top of the bottle. Wash the bottle both inside and out and allow it to dry completely before moving on.
Grab some acrylic paints in your favorite Spring colors. I used approximately 3 ounces per bottle. Carefully pour the paint inside the bottle and turn it at the same time so they paint gets all around.
Now, here's the fun part! Shake, shake, shake that bottle! I tapped on the side of my leg a few times to get the paint all the way to the bottom of the bottle. Just shake, turn and twist for a few minutes and the paint will coat the entire inside of the bottle.

Now comes the important part. I know you'll want to use these cute little vases right away, but it's SUPER important to let them dry completely! If you don't, you'll have a big ole' mess when you go to put water and flowers inside. I would let them dry for at least 24 hours, but 48 if you can wait that long.

Once the bottles are good and dry, fill them up with water and your favorite flowers and spread some Spring joy! Perfect to give to friends, neighbors, family, and of course, you!

Grab some delicious Straight Up™ Teas at your local Walmart soon, then make these adorable vases when you're done drinking! Happy spring, friends!
