Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread

Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread

I love banana bread. I know, I've told you this before. I'm just telling you again in case you forgot.

I had a bunch of bananas that were about to go bad so I decided to kick my standard banana bread recipe up a notch. Remember the peanut butter cupcakes I made last week? I used the Jif Whips spread in those and now I'm obsessed. I mean seriously, that stuff is like a drug. I can eat it by the spoonful straight from the jar.

So I added some of that peanut butter and chocolate spread to my bread. Oh and chocolate chips too. I mean, why not?

The bread came out super moist and tender, probably due to that fluffy peanut butter spread. Totally delicious. And my boys gobbled it up too.

Ingredients:
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp honey
2 eggs
1 cup Jif Whips Whipped Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread
3 large bananas, mashed
2 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a loaf pan and set aside.

In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat together the butter, sugar, honey, eggs, peanut butter chocolate, bananas, water and vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix well until completely combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake the bread for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a rack. Once cool, remove from the pan and slice. Place any remaining bread in an airtight container or Ziploc bag.

Bon Appetit!
